A Place to Pray

by Keith Turman

A restless

Move from lamp to lamp

Just a comfortable place

A good chair actually

To peel away the layers and

Know

What good is the coffee

What good is the quiet

If there is no place to settle

My eyes in enough

Light to hear the

Words

That crack eternity and

Fill the empty space

With such

Aroma

With the sound of

Someone becoming restless

Moving into the world

“Whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Jesus, Mathew 6:6

“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads in every place the fragrance that comes from knowing him.” Paul, 2 Corinthians 2:14
