Stewardship Campaign

By now you should have received in the mail the brochure for this year’s financial stewardship campaign, “Giving to 2012 and Beyond.” We are building on last year’s theme, acknowledging that growth comes from God...our personal growth, as well as growth of the congregation. The brochure is meant to provide you with information on where the church’s finances are invested, and to encourage prayerful and thoughtful consideration of your financial commitment for 2012.

This Sunday is an important day in this year’s campaign. At 10:00 the Christian Growth Center, there will be a video presentation celebrating our church’s people, ministries, and missions. We hope all adults and youth will join us for refreshments, fellowship, and this inspiring presentation of how God is at work among us. The sermon at all three services will challenge us to consider what “belongs to God,” and how we are called to respond to God’s gracious blessings.

Sunday, October 23, will be our commitment  Sunday, when we will bring our Estimate of Giving cards to the altar for dedication to God. Dr. Ken Carter, our District Superintendent, will be our guest preacher that morning. His insights, his depth, his proclamation of God’s Word will be a blessing to us.

I hope you will embrace these experiences as an opportunity for growth in your own spiritual journey. This is a special time to give thanks to God for giving us growth, and to look forward with hope and anticipation, with faithfulness and generosity, for the ways that God will yet give us growth as “the living body of Christ.”

See You Sunday at the Giving Place,
