Children are foundational to the entire life and mission of the church. Through weekly programs such as Music Makers and Sunday School we are able to develop personal relationships with each child and support the entire family. At FUMC Waynesville, we know it takes a community to raise a child – we are eager to build that community together.
The mission of FUMC Youth is to be a community of faith that encourages a personal relationship with God. We teach youth that they are loved, forgiven, and needed by God and the church. Our goal is to empower our students to change the world.
Adult Ministries are a growing and vital component of our church body. Each week adults of all ages can participate in small groups such as Sunday School, Discipleship study, Bible study, book clubs, yoga, Prayer Shawl Ministry and much more.
The Music and Arts department at First United Methodist Church offers something for everyone. From the Music Makers program for children to our youth and adult choirs and instrumental groups, you can expect to find a warm welcome and a lively song!
Our Child Development Center (CDC) welcomes community members beginning at 18 months into the doors of our church. Here they will find loving, encouraging and highly qualified teachers eager to support and teach their child in a safe and comfortable place.
From Pancake Day to Pig Pickin’, Community Impact Day to Rise Against Hunger, we love to get the whole church together around great food, music, volunteerism and fellowship. Church wide events are community events – everyone is welcome.
