Worship is the cornerstone for our community of faith at First United Methodist Church. Whether you are singing in a choir rehearsal, hiking the Appalachian Trail with the Youth, or enjoying the fellowship of a Wednesday evening dinner, you are participating in the worship life of this community. No matter how you worship with us, you can expect to find a warm welcome, an honest message, and active praise and prayer life that builds our connection to God and to each other.
All services hear the same sermon each week and celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month. Childcare is provided at each service.
Our first service of the day is an intimate gathering led by Morning Song Vocal Ensemble. After the service, we gather for coffee and snacks and fellowship with each other.
This is a high-energy, community driven worship service led by the Praise Band. This service takes place in the Christian Growth Center/Gym, which is located behind the Friendship House, easily seen from the large parking lot.
9:50 - 10:50 AM - Sunday School is offered for all ages
This energetic service features new and traditional prayers and hymns brought to life by the full forces of the congregation, choir and pipe organ.
